Welcome to GetFix. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GetFix mobile application, website, and device repair services (collectively, the "Services"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GetFix, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GetFix. Your continued use of the Services following any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
- Not be prohibited from using our Services under applicable law
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
By using GetFix, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
3. Our Services
GetFix provides a platform that connects users with certified repair technicians for electronic device repairs, including but not limited to:
- Gaming consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch)
- Laptops and notebook computers
- Tablets (iPad, Android tablets)
- Desktop computers
- Other electronic devices as listed in our app
GetFix acts as a platform to facilitate connections between users and independent repair technicians. The actual repair services are performed by these independent technicians, who are not employees of GetFix.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time without prior notice.
4. Account Registration
To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if any information provided is inaccurate, false, or violates these Terms.
5. User Responsibilities
When using our Services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your device and the issue requiring repair
- Ensure your device is available and accessible at the scheduled appointment time
- Back up all data on your device before submitting it for repair
- Provide a safe environment for technicians performing on-site repairs
- Pay for services as agreed upon before or after repair completion
- Treat technicians and GetFix staff with respect
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
6. Device Submission and Repair
Before Repair
Before submitting your device for repair, you should:
- Back up all data (photos, documents, game saves, etc.)
- Remove personal accounts and saved passwords where possible
- Remove SIM cards, memory cards, and protective cases
- Provide necessary access codes or disable security locks as needed
- Disclose all known issues and prior repair history
During Repair
You acknowledge that:
- Repair times are estimates and may vary based on parts availability and issue complexity
- Additional issues may be discovered during diagnosis that affect the final cost
- Some repairs may require device reset, which will erase all data
- We will notify you of any changes to the quoted price before proceeding
Data Loss Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: GetFix and its repair technicians are not responsible for any data loss that may occur during the repair process. Always back up your data before submitting a device for repair.
7. Pricing and Payment
- All prices displayed are estimates and may vary based on actual diagnosis
- Final pricing will be confirmed before repair work begins
- Payment is due upon completion of repair unless otherwise arranged
- We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as indicated in the app
- Diagnostic fees may apply and will be disclosed upfront
- Prices do not include applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout
8. Service Warranty
All repairs performed through GetFix include the following warranty:
- 90-Day Warranty: Parts and labor for hardware repairs
- 30-Day Warranty: Software-related services and diagnostics
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage occurring after the repair (drops, impacts, pressure)
- Liquid damage or exposure to moisture after repair
- Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs by third parties
- Issues unrelated to the original repair service
- Devices with tampered or removed serial numbers
- Normal wear and tear
Claiming Warranty
To claim warranty service, contact us through the app or website with your original service receipt. Warranty claims must be made within the warranty period.
9. Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel a repair request at any time before work begins at no charge
- Cancellations after diagnosis may be subject to a diagnostic fee
- Cancellations after repair has started are subject to parts and labor charges incurred
- Refunds for completed services are at our discretion and evaluated case by case
- Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 5-10 business days
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use our Services for any illegal purpose
- Submit stolen devices or devices you do not own or have authorization to repair
- Harass, threaten, or abuse technicians or other users
- Provide false or misleading information
- Attempt to circumvent security features or access restricted areas
- Interfere with or disrupt our Services or servers
- Use automated systems to access our Services without permission
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of GetFix or third parties
- Engage in fraudulent payment practices
11. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the GetFix platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of GetFix or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any content from our Services without our express written permission.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
GetFix does not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Results from repairs will meet your expectations
- Any defects in the Services will be corrected
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GETFIX AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Personal injury or property damage related to your use of our Services
- Any conduct or content of third parties, including technicians
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GetFix and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your use of our Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Any content you submit through our Services
15. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to GetFix at any time, with or without cause, including for:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Non-payment for services rendered
- Conduct harmful to other users, technicians, or GetFix
You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting customer support. Termination does not relieve you of any payment obligations for services already rendered.
16. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our Services shall be resolved through:
- Informal Resolution: Contact us first to attempt to resolve the issue informally.
- Binding Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.
You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against GetFix.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- For material changes, we will notify you via email or app notification
- Your continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance
